A note on power values of generalized derivation in prime ring and noncommutative Banach algebras
Let $R$ be a prime ring with extended centroid $C$, $H$ a generalized derivation of $R$ and $ngeq 1$ a fixed integer. In this paper we study the situations: (1) If $(H(xy))^n =(H(x))^n(H(y))^n$ for all $x,yin R$; (2) obtain some related result in case $R$ is a noncommutative Banach algebra and $H$ is continuous or spectrally bounded.

Based on a coin-tossing scheme, a generalized Mahonian statistic is defined on absorption ring mappings and applied in obtaining combinatorial interpretations of the coefficient of q j in the expansion of > k i=1 (1+q+q 2 + } } } +q m i). In the permutation case, the statistic coincides with one studied by Han that specializes many known Mahonian statistics.

In this paper, we introduce generalized adjoint semigroups (GA-semigroups) of a ring R. We construct generalized adjoint semigroups on a ring R by means of bitranslations of R.
